S1E2 - The New Shamanism

Shamanism has only fairly recently taken a place in the modern Western mind as a sort of 'root religion' or 'base human spiritual practice.' So what is shamanism? What is a shaman? Can a modern Western white boy pick up a rattle and call himself a shaman, or is shamanism reserved for people with Native ancestry? Can we as modern people form a New Shamanism that taps directly into Spirit and truly enriches our lives?
